Catharina Eichholtz was also known as Catherine.3 She was born between 1804 and 1813.4 She was the daughter of Jacob Eichholtz and Catharine Brenner.1,2 Catharina Eichholtz married John Walter, son of Peter Walter and Atilla (?), on 30 November 1830.1,5,6 Catharina Eichholtz was mentioned in the will of her maternal grandfather, Johan Philipp (Jr.) Brenner.
"And whereas John Walter who is intermarried with my said grand daughter Catharine Eicholtz is appearingly indulging himself in the worst of evils and bad habits of taking spiritual liquar to excess, therefore my will is and I do hereby order and direct that my executors shall hold and retain in their hands, the money share and portion, coming to the said Catharine, out of my estate, as mentioned above, to hold or put out the same on interest or to lay it out in real estate, as they may think most advisable and not to pay the same or any part thereof to the said John Walter, unless he becomes a sober, orderly and well doing man for his wife and family. " on 2 July 1832 at Lancaster, PA.7 Her married name was Walter.1 She died between 1848 and 1850.1,8 As of in 1885, Catharina Eichholtz had one surviving child .9

  2. [S1] Unknown author, "Assumption," e-mail to unknown recipient, Jacob's first wife was named Catharine. Catharina Eichholtz could have been named after her mother. Jacob married Catharine in 1803 and A. Maria Aughinbauch filed for divorce in 1822. If Catharine is the mother of Catharina, Catharina would have been born between 1804-1821. Catharina's husband John Walter was born in 1810 - she could have been born around the same time. Catharina was the only child left property in her father's will. In 1834 her father had deeded 127 acres and belongings to be held in trust for his wife A. Maria Aughinbauch and their children. This seems to indicate that Catharina was not the child of A. Maria Aughinbauch. If Jacob married a third time to "Bolly", it would have been after his divorce in 1834. Catharina had a child in 1846, therefore, it is unlikely that "Bolly" is her mother..
